Paying It Forward is all about generosity and compassion. All too often, we think too much about our own needs and circumstances without considering that there are others in the world who are worse off than ourselves. When you pay it forward, you are changing someone else’s circumstances for the better. Sometimes, you may even be saving another person’s life without even realising it.

67 MINUTES - Kganya Day Care Centre

It was a really sunny day when Pomegranate Media staff celebrated and commemorated Nelson Mandela’s legacy on July 18 with the children at Kganya Day Care Centre, in Diepsloot, north of Johannesburg. The visit was a result of a request from the day care centre’s principal, Ms Beauty Ratema for assistance.

The 67 minutes began with the Pomegranate Team cleaning, painting and playing with the children, aged between 3 and 6 years. The children were then handed educational toys before being feted with sumptuous snacks. Various other items to assist with the infrastructure of the day care centre were also donated.

“Kganya” is Sotho for bright and Pomegranate Media aims to further extend our assistance beyond Mandela Day celebrations to provide basic educational necessities for the day care centre and to assist in providing a brighter future for the children.

Alex Township Fire - December 2018

When various organisations called on citizens to unite and play their part and provide humanitarian support during the massive fire that raged through Alexandra township on Thursday, 6th December 2018, destroying at least 500 shacks and leaving 150 families displaced, Pomegranate Media, heeded the called and made their contribution to #Countryduty in order to assist the families who lost their worldly possessions in a devastating fire.
